introduction
In this practical tutorial, I’ll show you how to connect Shopify to Pinterest using Make to automatically publish your products, blog posts, and other content.
These are skills I’ve learned while building my own web presence, and I’m sharing them with you so you can do the same. The goal is simple: help you automate your workflow, save time, and focus more on creating content instead of repeating manual tasks.
Why This Automation Matters
If you’re running a Shopify store or building a personal brand, Pinterest can become a powerful traffic source. But posting manually takes time.
With automation, you can:
* Publish new Shopify products directly to Pinterest
* Turn blog posts into Pins automatically
* Keep your content active without daily effort
* Drive consistent traffic to your store or website
What You Need
Before starting, make sure you have:
* Shopify store
* Make account
* Pinterest account
Step 1: Create a Scenario in Make
Go to Make and create a new scenario. This will be the workflow that connects Shopify and Pinterest.
Step 2: Connect Shopify
Add Shopify as your first module and choose a trigger such as:
* New Product
* New Blog Post
Then connect your Shopify account.
Step 3: Add Pinterest
Add Pinterest as the next module and choose Create Pin.
Connect your Pinterest account and select the board where you want your Pins to appear.
Step 4: Map Your Content
Now connect Shopify data to Pinterest fields:
* Title → Product or blog title
* Description → Content description
* Image → Product/blog image
* Link → Shopify product or blog URL
This ensures every new item becomes a Pinterest Pin automatically.
Step 5: Test the Automation
Run a test to make sure everything works correctly:
* Shopify sends data
* Make processes it
* Pinterest creates a Pin
Step 6: Activate the Scenario
Once everything works, turn the scenario ON. From now on, your Shopify content will automatically be published to Pinterest.
Conclusion
This simple Shopify → Make → Pinterest automation helps you build a consistent online presence without wasting time on manual posting.
It’s one of the first steps in building a smart, automated system for your content and business growth.
